Calorie Challenge Snack Mix Recipe

Just plain healthy recipe...

Several healthy and crunchy favorites in this Calorie Challenge Snack Mix. Shredded wheat cereal, popcorn, pretzels and cocktail peanuts seasoned just right.

Recipe Ingredients

3 cups shredded wheat cereal
2 cups popped popcorn
1 cup small pretzels
1/2 cup cocktail peanuts
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt


Recipe Directions

Bag of Pretzels for Calorie Challenge Snack Mix

Toss cereal with popcorn, pretzels and peanuts in large microwave-safe bowl.

Mix butter, Worcestershire sauce and seasoned salt until well blended. Drizzle evenly over cereal mixture; toss to coat.

Microwave on high two to three minutes or until cereal is crisp, stirring after two minutes.

Fruit and Peanut Snack Mix combines fish shaped crackers with dried fruits and peanuts for a healthful crunchy snack.

1 package (6 oz) pretzels, plain, or Cheddar cheese-flavored, bite-size, fish-shaped crackers
1 package (6 oz) dried cranberries
1 package (7 oz) dried apricots, snipped
1 cup peanuts

In a medium mixing bowl combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container. Makes about 6 cups for 12 servings. Serving size is 1/2-cup.
