Pork Chops Mexicana Recipe

Pork Chops Mexicana is made using boneless lean pork chops with salsa, peanuts, a touch of cocoa powder, cinnamon and cilantro.

Recipe Ingredients

4 boneless lean pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
1-1/4 cup salsa
1/2 cup finely chopped cocktail peanuts
1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped cilantro or green onions

Lean Pork Chops for Pork Chops Mexicana

Recipe Directions

Cook chops in large nonstick skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat two to three minutes on each side or until browned on both sides.

Combine salsa, peanuts, cocoa and cinnamon; spoon over chops.

Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer five minutes or until chops are no longer pink in the center and sauce is thickened, turning chops over and stirring sauce after three minutes. Sprinkle with cilantro.
