Tea Tackles Bugs
The next time you need to take an antibiotic, you may want to add green tea to your get-well regime. In laboratory tests against 28 disease-causing organisms, the brew as much as tripled the medication's effectiveness. Even drug-resistant staphylococcus was vulnerable, with 20 percent of the bugs becoming susceptible to an antibiotic. A caution: Green tea shouldn't be mixed with blood thinners and certain other drugs, so ask your doctor or pharmacist first.

Milk and milk products such as yogurt and cheese provide nutrients that are vital for the health and maintenance of your body. These nutrients include calcium, potassium, vitamin D, and protein. People who have a diet rich in milk and milk products can lower their risk of low bone mass (osteo- porosis) and maintain healthy bones throughout the life cycle. Whole milk dairy foods contain unhealthy saturated fats, so it's a good idea to choose low-fat or fat-free milk products such as milk, cheese, and yogurt. If you can;t tolerate milk, try lactose-free milk products.
