Nutrition Tip
White Whole Wheat vs. "Regular" Whole Wheat
White whole wheat flour is made from a naturally occuring albino variety of wheat. It's lighter in color than regular whole wheat, but it has all the nutrition and fiber of typical whole wheat flour without the bitter taste that some find unpleasant. This is due to the fact that white whole wheat does not have tannins and phenolic acid in its outer bran. These are compounds that give regular whole wheat a hearty, slightly bitter taste. Therefore, products made from white whole wheat flour have the same benefits with a naturally sweeter flavor.

Yogurt Trivia
Yogurt is made by adding a culture of bacteria, like Lactobacillus acidophilus, to warm milk and then leaving it to thicken. It is believed that about 8000 years ago a group of bedouins set out on a long journey carrying milk in bags made from goats' stomachs. The hot sun and the bacteria worked to create the first yogurt. Food Fixes
Asparagus: Buy asparagus spears that are firm, with deep green or purplish closed tips. To store, stand spears upright in a container filled with about 1-inch of water. Cover loosely with a plastic bag and refrigerate.
Green Beans: Green beans should be bright green and feel velvety. Although best used right away, you can store green beans in a plastic bag for up to five days.
Remove sap from your car by rubbing mayonnaise into the area; allow it to sit for a few minutes and wipe off.
