Fighting Aches With Omega-3
Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center found that nearly two-thirds of patients suffering from chronic neck and back pain stopped needing anti-inflammatory pain pills after taking fish-oil pills for 20 to 30 days. The key may be omega-3s ability to fight inflammation. But you do not necessarily have to take the pills. Cold-water ocean fish (salmon, mackerel, herring) and lake trout are the best sources of anti-flammatory omega-3's.

Some ingredients may be healthy alone, but boiled in cream, sauteed in butter and eaten in large portions, they can add quite a few pounds to your diet. Quick Recipe

Beefy Chili Burritos with Cheese
1 package of fat free flour tortilla shells
16 oz. fat free or reduced fat shredded Cheddar cheese
1 lb. ground beef
2 cans fat free or vegetarian chili
In medium pan, brown beef. Add both cans of chili and 6-oz. of Cheddar cheese. Stir over medium-low heat until cheese is completely melted.
Put one half of the beefy chili mixture in the middle of the soft taco. Roll up. Sprinkle 1-oz. of Cheddar cheese on top. Microwave about 10 seconds to melt cheese. Serve warm. Garnish with salsa, if desired.
Add tossed salad with low fat dressing for a delicious and low fat meal.

According to experts, a person who eats just 100 extra calories a day for a year can gain about 10 pounds in that time. Meanwhile, eating 100 calories less a day for a year will lead to either weight maintenance or even better, weight loss.
