Fitness Tip
Morning or Evening Exercise?
Morning exerciser's tend to stick with their exercise regime as opposed to evening exercises, says a study done by the Mollen Clinic in Phoenix. The study showed that after one year, 75 percent of morning exercisers had stuck with their workouts, compared with only 25 percent of those who worked out in the evening and 50 percent of afternoon exercisers. As the day goes on, excuses such as working late, running errands and helping kids with homework mount. On the other hand, studies have consistently shown that performance improves in the late afternoon and early evening. For example, swimmers and distance runners perform best between 6 and 8 p.m. In short, for a performance edge, try sticking to a p.m. workout, but if it hampers your efforts, stick to the morning.
Nutrition Tip
Orange Peel Provides Health Benefits
Grated citrus zest -- the outmost layer of the peel, not the white pith -- includes compounds that may provide health benefits, such as inhibiting development of some cancers and lowering cholesterol. Scrub the rind with warm water and a drop of soap before starting to grate. Press a piece of wax paper onto the grater to make clean-up easier; the zest accumulates on the paper instead of getting stuck in the holes of the grater. Best of all, you can use the zest for a flavor boost in low-fat baked goods, pilafs, salad dressings, marinades and fruit salads.

Quick Recipe
Perfectly Boiled Eggs
To make perfectly cooked hard-boiled eggs, you don't really need to boil the eggs at all. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Cook over medium high heat just until the water comes to a boil. Cover with a tight fitting lid and remove the pan from the heat. After 15 to 20 minutes, drain the eggs and cool with cold water. Wait until the eggs are completely cool to peel.

Dust Mites
About 84 percent of homes in the U.S. have detectable levels of dust mite allergen in a bed. In almost a quarter of the homes surveyed, mite levels were high enough to become a trigger for an asthma attack. Dust mites thrive in humid environments and feed on bacteria, pollen, and human skin flakes (thus, they're commonly found in bedding). To keep dust mites under control, researchers advise using a mattress cover, and to wash bedding every week in hot water. Also, remove all non-washable items from the bed.
