Fitness Tip
How Much Exercise Do I Need? In order to reap the greatest benefits from your exercise routine, it is generally recommended that you engage in 30 to 45 minutes of physical activity several days a week. If you have been physically inactive for a while, you might want to begin with less strenuous activities, such as swimming or walking. This will allow you to begin to improve your physical condition without unduly stressing your muscles, tendons, and joints. You can also do shorter lengths of exercise several times a day in order to reach your total of 30 to 45 minutes. Try walking vigorously for fifteen minutes in the morning, then do another 15 minute walk during your lunch break, and another after dinner.
